SL, SWIMMING LUXEMBOURG, a.s.b.l., a non-profit association, was founded in 1993 following the merger of two associations: SWIMMING CLUB LUXEMBOURG, a Grand Ducal society established in 1919, and LN, LUXEMBOURG NATATION, an association founded in 1979.
The registered office of SL is based in Luxembourg.
The purpose of SL is to carry out any activity directly or indirectly related to the practice of swimming in accordance with the regulations of the FÉDÉRATION INTERNATIONALE DE NATATION (FINA), insofar as these are applicable.
SL strives to create and maintain friendly relations among its members, to uphold and promote fair play in sporting practice, to defend the sporting interests of its members, and to represent those interests before the relevant authorities.
On 28 November 1949, Her Royal Highness the Grand Duchess authorised Swimming Luxembourg to bear the title of Grand Ducal Society.
