On Sunday, January 26th 2025, the Artistic Swimming Team of Swimming Luxembourg, participated in the third, and last, leg of the „Ligue de figures“ in Liège, Belgium 🇧🇪. Our club was being represented by three U12 and five Youth swimmers, two coaches as well as by three freshly trained AS judges.

Last weekend, on Saturday, 18th of January 2025, our Artistic Swimming Team travelled to Basel to compete in their first competition of the year 2025.
In the 35th edition of the Basler Pflichtcup, our club was being represented by 6 swimmers of the Beginners group, 8 Youth swimmers and 2 Juniors. The main goal of participating in this event was to gain competitive experience in preparation of bigger competitions with international importance which are coming up. We would like to highlight that our Beginner swimmer Agota Zilionyte managed to rank 17 out of 35 swimmers 👏🏽. In addition, Martyna Dini (Youth) secured the 28 place out of 52 swimmers in her category 👏🏽.
The Basler Pflichtcup was only the second to last figure competition in the competition calendar of the team. We are keeping our fingers crossed for the teams last figure competition, which will take place next weekend in Liège 🤞🏽.

💡 Did you know? Swimming Luxembourg has a long tradition in participating as the only foreign club in the Basler Pflichtcup. Already in their time as swimmers, some of the coaches used to participate in this event!
