Last Weekend our U12 Team travelled to Malta to compete in a high level international artistic swimming competition in the events: Figures, Solo Free, Duet Free and Team Free.
On the first competition day the 5 SL swimmers scored solid results in the Figure discipline. Martyna Dini made it to the top ten of the overall U12 swimmers in the figure discipline with a total of 55.5217 points. Her teammates managed to join her in the first half of the ranking. This left the team with a team-figure-score of 50,5486.
In the Free Solo event Romy Thill debuted with her first solo performance ever and secured the 10th place with a total of 108.3746 points (figures and routine combined).
With their first performance of the Free Duet, Angie Becker and Martyna Dini made it to the 5th place with a total of 93.2105 points (figures and routine combined).
On their last competition day, the team performed their “Starship Enterprise”-themed team routine. Even though the team was not yet satisfied with their swim (due to technical problems of the organizer), the team managed to win a bronze medal due to their impressive results in the figure discipline. In the Free Team event the group scored 132.6486 points (figures and routine combined). 
Swimming Luxembourg would like to congratulate all swimmers and coaches on their amazing results at the Open National Championships of Malta 2024! The team is now motivated than ever and is already looking forward to conquering the next challenges! Their next competition will be our SL Synchro Cup taking place from 17th until the 20th of May 2024 at the pool of Campus Geesseknäppchen
